Posts: 2 (03/15/09 10:00) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Tags : None I stared Intently through the glare Inhaling deeply the winter air Even the dirt was different here A three hour flight Through December night And starless skies Landing on roads paved with ice Welcome to the land of dreams Said the people on T.V Or so it would seem I believed But maybe I was deceived Dedication alone won't suffice Not everyone that smiles is nice Naive; I was fooled once or twice Or thrice Now grown and jaded Won't be baited Hope has faded But not totally gone....I carry on

When I read this, the anxiety, nervousness, excitement, disappointment and optimism was felt. All the emotions and feelings one experiences when going somewhere new; and also having to adjust to an unrealistic expectation (maybe self inflicted or conveyed through outside voices). The most important line, to me, is the last one regarding hope, "But not totally gone.... I carry on". With just a little bit of light, we carry on. Look forward to seeing more of your work. -Shadow-
